We have held 20 Leadership Conferences to date, with more than 7,000 pastors and lay leaders and their families having attended and impacted and strengthened for the ministry. The Leadership Conferences are not just for those pastors/ministers and their families connected to Maximum Impact Ministries, but they are open to all in India and beyond; having had pastors and ministers from around the world attend. Our current plans are to continue hosting two conferences each year, with speakers continuing to come from around the world from Seattle, Denver, Minnesota, Connecticut, California, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, and of course India.
The conferences are a place where pastors/ministers and lay leaders and their families can come and receive “Fresh Fire” from the Lord. It is a time for them to be divinely encouraged, refreshed and equipped for the work of the ministry. Many have had a passion for the Lord rekindled and have been infused and moved with Jesus’ heart of compassion for the lost; just as in Matt 9:36, “But when He (Jesus) saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Another aspect of the conferences are the training and discipleship that takes place. In India most of the pastors have no Bible College training prior to entering into the ministry, so the conferences serve as a setting for us to impart some intense and focused leadership and discipleship training. This has been an effective means for us to focus on those in need of training.
A wonderful by-product of the pastors conferences has been the networking and unifying of the body of Christ that has developed. What we have experienced we declare, even as the psalmist in Psalm 133:1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Our hearts desire and vision is for the body of Christ to be one, advancing the Gospel of the Kingdom of God throughout India and around the world.
